The Six-Day War of June 1967 fell in the Hebrew year 5727, written תשכז, letters that spell no Hebrew word. The next Hebrew year, 5728, begins that autumn and is written תשכח, and those letters are a phrase in Deuteronomy. לא תשכח, thou shalt not forget, says Deuteronomy 25:19, and verse after verse of that book uses the same form. Nineteen bare cases in the Tanakh, seven of them in Deuteronomy. This is pure accident. No one chose the year's letters for what they spell. It is a good example, though, of why reading a meaning into a year's letters is a game that works every time, for any year, and so says nothing.
The measurement
Neither year's letters do anything. תשכז has 25,693 sequences in the Torah against 26,411.5 by chance, and nearly every word shuffle reaches the real 494. The following year's letters, תשכח, have 83,660 against 86,384.0.
