Subscription Terms
How Premium is billed, how it renews, how to cancel it, and how refunds work. These are part of the Terms of Use.
Draft of October 31, 2026. This text is waiting for legal review and may change before launch.
The plans
Premium removes the search limit on your account. On the web it costs $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year, in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT may be added where it applies. Prices in the App Store and on Google Play are set in those stores and may differ slightly. The pricing page always shows the current price.
Who bills you
The place you subscribe is the place that bills you, and only that place can stop the billing.
- On the web, Stripe processes the payment for us.
- On iPhone, Apple bills your Apple Account.
- On Android, Google bills your Google Play account.
Your Premium works wherever you sign in to the same account, whichever way you paid.
Automatic renewal
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. A monthly plan renews every month and an annual plan renews every year. The card or account on file is charged on the renewal date. We email a reminder before an annual plan renews. If the price goes up, we tell you before the change reaches you, and you can cancel before it does.
The free trial
The annual plan may start with 7 days free. On the web no card is needed to start, and if no card is on file when the trial ends, the trial simply ends and you are not charged. If you add a card, $39.99 is charged when the trial ends, and the plan then renews every year until you cancel. We email a reminder before a trial ends. On iPhone and Android the store's own offer terms apply. A trial is for one person, once.
How to cancel
Cancel at any time. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charge is made.
- On the web: Your account, then Manage subscription.
- On iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
- On Android: Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions.
Deleting your account stops a web subscription from renewing. It cannot stop a subscription billed by Apple or Google, so please cancel those first.
If a payment fails
On the web we try the card again and you keep Premium for up to 14 days from the first failure. If no payment goes through by then, the subscription ends. Apple and Google run their own retry periods.
Refunds
Bought on the web
- Write to hello@torahcodex.com within 14 days of a first payment, or of an annual renewal, and we refund it in full.
- Monthly renewals and the unused part of a period are otherwise not refunded, unless the law requires it.
- If you are charged twice for the same thing, or charged in error, we refund the extra charge.
- A full refund ends Premium at once and stops the subscription from renewing.
Bought in an app
- Apple handles refunds for purchases made through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google handles refunds for purchases made through Google Play. See Google Play's refund policy.
Disputes
If something went wrong with a charge, please write to us first. We would rather fix it. A disputed payment ends Premium at once.
Changes to the plans
We may change prices or what Premium includes. A change reaches an existing subscription only at a renewal, after notice, and you can cancel before it applies.
