The Tanakh/Ketuvim

Chroniclesדברי הימים

Chronicles closes the Tanakh in this order: one book of two parts that begins with genealogies from Adam and retells the history of the Davidic kings to the decree of Cyrus. Much of it runs parallel to Samuel and Kings, so a sequence search can meet similar text twice. Tradition names Ezra as the writer of its genealogies.
